Entry #6

Blurb Book Proposal

For my blurb book I would like to do a series based on light and movement. I'm really intrigued by photos that are of moving cars and all you can basically see are the light trails left by the movement of the car. I would like to play around with different kinds of light sources. I also want to try out different functions on my camera like shutter speed and how it affects the photos.

For the blurb book, I'm not quite sure how many pages I will have. I want to have at least one image on each page. Some pages would consist of two or more smaller images. I want to keep the pages pretty simple and appealing to the viewer. I don't think I'll be using text because I feel the images will be enough without words to distract the viewer.

Fotosintesis by J. Javier Marin
I really like this book because of how the artist put the layout together. I like the use of images as background to another image on the page. I also like how one image bleeds on to the next page. The flow of the pages are fun.

Liquid Flowers and Koi Dreams by Barbara Lynn Jones
This book caught my attention because it uses a black background on the page. It makes the images more appealing. I like the simplicity of the layout. The layout isn't distracting too distracting from the photos.

Floral Theater by Jason Guzman
I like the layout of the images on each page. I like how the artist interchanged the layout from page to page. I like how on one page there is a single image and on the next page there are two or three images.

Adventure! by Jessie Bailey
I like this book because images aren't constrained to one page. Images flow over the center between two pages. I don't mind the margin on the side on the pages where the image ends.

Tamara McGregor Art by Tarama McGregor
This book is really cool. I really like the images in the book. But mostly I like the simplicity of the cover and how it's completely the opposite of whats inside the book. The content inside the book is far from simple.

If My Life Was Square by Cain Pascoe
I like the overall feeling of this book. The pages are clean and simple. Each page has the same border and the images are all the same size. There's no on the pages. The images are self explanatory and all work well together.
